The new Audio
Chord Wizard (version 2.0) in PowerTracks is amazing. It "figures out the
chords" from MP3, WMA files and audio CD's. Just open up an MP3 file,
tap in the tempo for a few bars, and you have the chords to the song,
displayed on the PowerTracks Chords Window, with the bars in sync to the
MP3 file.
MIDI/audio tracks. Add a RealDrums track to an old recording, they will
play in perfect sync to the original MP3 file. Precise, floating point
tempos ( e.g. 120.514 BPM), Copy/Paste Song Lyrics to lead sheet, MIDI
Normalize, Split MIDI Drum notes to tracks, Auto- SEQ Backup, Automatic

AUDIO CHORD WIZARD
The Audio Chord Wizard is an extremely powerful feature
that automatically finds chord symbols (C, Fm7 etc.) by analyzing the
audio content of a song (MP3/WAV/WMA or CD-audio file). The song can be in
a digital file format (MP3/WMA/WAV).one that you created in PowerTracks,
or directly loaded from a CD. In addition to the chords, the Audio Chord
Wizard also automatically determines the bar lines and a Tempo map.
Use this feature to instantly play along to your favorite songs, by
reading and printing the chord symbols.

REALDRUMS
Real audio drums allows you to instantly create audio drums tracks
with real recordings of top studio Jazz/Rock/Country drummers. These are
not "samples," but are full recordings, lasting from 1 to 8 bars, playing
along in perfect sync with the other PowerTracks tracks. For example,
choose a brushes style, and you will now hear lush Jazz brushes, or a Rock
Grunge style. They sound like a real drummer, because they are recordings
of a real drummer.

PRECISE "FLOATING-POINT" TEMPOS
PowerTracks now supports floating-point tempos, such as 120.514 BPM.
This makes it easier to sync MIDI tracks to prerecorded audio tracks if
the audio tracks weren’t recorded exactly at an integer tempo. This also
is what lets PowerTracks play a song in sync to an existing audio track
after the Audio Chord Wizard has worked its magic.

SONG LYRICS CAN BE APPENDED TO LEAD SHEET AND PRINTOUT
Easily copy and paste lyrics (or other block of text) from other
applications, to be appended to your lead sheet for display and printout,
with selectable font.

SPLIT MIDI DRUMS
This command will split a MIDI drum track to individual separate tracks.
Custom settings allow you to control which notes go to which track.

AUTO BACK-UP OF YOUR SEQ FILES
When you save a file, PowerTracks now saves a backup of the file in a
c:\PT\PTBACKUP folder. This doesn’t add any time to the file-save command,
and the number of backups is configurable. So the next time that you
mistakenly overwrite a file when saving, go to the backup folder to look
for a saved previous copy.

AUTOMATIC "CROSS-FADING" WHEN PASTING AUDIO
This smoothes out a paste, so that no audible “Clicks” are heard at splice
points of pastes.

LATENCY ADJUSTMENT SETTINGS
This lets you adjust for fine tuning latency settings for MIDI (non-DXI
and non-VSTI) soft synths. |
EASIER LYRIC ENTRY
Line and Paragraph buttons when entering lyrics in notation window – These
two convenient new buttons let you to enter line breaks (/) or paragraph
breaks (\) when entering lyrics. |
MIDI NORMALISE
This allows you to adjust the volume of an entire MIDI sequence to a
specified volume level. Apply the same level to many MIDI files, to make
them all sound with the same approximate volume. Dynamics in the files are
preserved. |

SING ALONG TO THE MP3
And use the included TC-Helicon harmonies to add audio harmonies that will
follow the chords from the MP3 file that Audio Chord Wizard figured out.

Minimum 128 MB RAM
75 MB hard disk space minimum, plus about 1 GB per RealDrums Set.
Digital audio recording requires more hard disk space, about 10 MB per minute of
recording.
